It’s Nutrition and Hydration Week this week

Being honest, how much water do you drink in a day?  I bet it’s not enough!  How about this – what colour is your pee?  A personal question, yes, but if you were to answer, would you use the colour yellow to describe it?  I thought so!  You are dehydrated!!!

You really should drink much more water and juice as chronic dehydration throughout adult life is likely one of the biggest causes of dementia in later life along with many other things right now.  We are often asked about hydration during our face-to-face training sessions – so we have a page with info in the Knowledge Bank for you to look at and share with your friends, colleagues and loved ones.

Not everyone has the knowledge to understand this.  Look at our local council – they sent us a letter telling us of our requirement to have accessible parking bays in our car park.  Of course, they are correct to point this out – it’s just we are in council units here and so it’s their own car park!
